A Significant Historical Building in Downtown Spartanburg The corner of West Main Street and Daniel Morgan has been a staple of downtown Spartanburg. The F.T. Cantrell Wagon building was first established in 1895 as manufacturer of buggies, phaetons, surreys, and wagons. It was later converted into an Edsel car dealership, until it closed in the 1960’s. In 1999, Royce Camp and Tim Cantrell purchased the building and converted it into commercial lease space (now Carriage House Wines) and 5 residential apartments.
